Costa de Cocos has been owned and operated by David Randall for the last 30 years. The lodge is located in Xcalak, Mexico, the southern most village on the point of the Yucatan Peninsula, just 13 kilometres (8 miles) north of the Belizean border and can accommodate 14 fishing guests. Each room has a Caribbean view and features a queen bed, ceiling fan and attached bathroom. The onsite restaurant has a variety of home cooked meals and the bar is fully stocked.
Using 23 foot pangas for fishing, this inshore fishery for bonefish, permit and tarpon consists of over 35 kilometres (22 miles) within the Xcalak Reef National Marine Park protected waters in front of the lodge and more than 30 flats in Chetumal Bay behind the village.
Costa de Cocos also offers a full dive shop, dive instruction, snorkeling and kayaks, among other non-fishing activities.
