Join Alan and Cheryl October 14 to 21, 2017 at Costa de Cocos Lodge in Xcalak, Mexico

Costa de Cocos Lodge is located in Xcalak, Mexico, the southernmost village on the point of the Yucatan Peninsula, just 13 kilometres (8 miles) north of the Belizean border and can accommodate a maximum of 14 fishing guests. Each thatched roof cabana has a Caribbean view and features two queen beds, ceiling fan and attached bathroom. The onsite restaurant has a variety of delicious home cooked meals and the bar is fully stocked.

This inshore fishery for bonefish, permit and tarpon consists of over 35 kilometers (22 miles) within the Xcalak Reef National Marine Park protected waters in front of the lodge and more than 30 flats in Chetumal Bay behind the village. Accompanied by the lodge's well-trained guides and comfortably set up 23-foot fishing pangas, you will spend your days exploring this incredible and relatively lightly fished location. This is definitely one of those locations where you have a legitimate shot at a fabled Grand Slam!

If scuba diving is more to your liking Costa de Cocos has that as well! With the Xcalak Reef National Marine Park visible from the Lodge, the reef diving here is exceptional. A short 5 to 20-minute boat ride takes you to several dive sites. The reef has over 48 species of hard and soft corals, sponges and even the exotic black coral. With your Costa de Cocos Dive Masters you will experience walls, canyons, chimneys, "blue holes", incredible views of coral, fans, sponges, turtles, eels, rays, and a variety of tropical fish. There is something to explore at every depth, whether you are a beginner or expert. Rental gear for all of your diving needs is available at the lodge's full dive shop.

Costa de Cocos also offers snorkeling and kayaks, among other non-fishing activities. Please contact us to discuss non-fishing activities and let us know what you are interested in exploring.

Your adventure includes: Return transfers from Cancun to the lodge, 7 nights' accommodation, 6 days guided fishing, Mexico fishing licence, taxes, park fees, private cottage with private bathroom and shower, daily maid service, continental buffet breakfast, appetizers, lunch and dinner, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Join Alan and Cheryl November 25 to 30, 2017 in Louisiana for the Fall Redfish Season

Sight fishing for redfish along Louisiana's Gulf coast is an adventure that should be on every angler's bucket list. The Louisiana Delta is truly a place that fly anglers fall in love with, especially since your guide will be focusing on finding opportunities for you to sight fish. When you get within easy casting distance of a 30-pound redfish that is tailing in inches of water you will not believe your eyes.

The combination of a seemingly unlimited supply of hungry fish and miles and miles of shallow water, make coastal southeast Louisiana one of the best kept secrets in the fly fishing world. On a typical day you will leave the dock in the morning and will find yourself travelling by flats skiff through a maze of bayous, bays, and marshes on your way to one of the many fishing locations in the area. Arriving at the first "honey hole", you will slowly motor or drift along while casting to grass covered points or over one of the many oyster reefs in the area. These waters are full of rod bending redfish, along with other species such as black drum, sheepshead and speckled trout.

Your home away from home while on your Louisiana fishing adventure is located in the deep Mississippi Delta region of Plaquemines Parish, about 65 kilometres southeast of New Orleans. Our favourite accommodation in the area is Woodland Plantation. Situated just 40 minutes south of New Orleans, Woodland and their dining house, Spirits Hall, offer outstanding service and cuisine in a unique setting rich in history, culture and natural beauty. The plantation was originally built in 1834 and has been completely renovated and resorted by the current owners. Woodland stands today as the only remaining plantation home in the Delta on the west bank of the Mississippi River. If the main house looks familiar to you, it was once featured on every bottle of Southern Comfort liquor. Spirits Hall was built in 1883 and is a former Catholic Church that was moved to the property, from a neighbouring community, in 1998. The main room of Spirits Hall serves as the dining room. Before dinner join the staff, owner and other guests at the well stocked bar in the front of the main room.

Your adventure includes: 5 nights' accommodation, 4 days guided fishing, daily breakfast and five course dinner while at the Plantation and a boxed lunch in your skiff each day.

Not included: airfare to and from New Orleans, meals on-route, alcohol, gratuities and incidentals.

*Group transportation from New Orleans airport to the Plantation and return to the airport will be arraigned when the full group size is known.

Special Hosted Trip Rate: $2490 USD per person based on shared accommodation and shared boat/guide.

Space is limited so please contact On The Water Fly Fishing now to confirm your space today!

Join Alan and Cheryl October 6 to 9, 2017 at the Boulder River Outpost in Montana.

The all-inclusive Boulder River Outpost places you in the heart of one of the most spectacular valleys in all of Montana. The Boulder River cascades through Montana's highest mountains with the Beartooth Mountains to the east and the Absaroka Mountains to the west. The Boulder River Outpost is located on the banks of the East Boulder River, just 800 metres from the main Boulder River and 32 kilometres from the Yellowstone River.

From this location there is a variety of lightly fished waters including access to private ranches, strictly permitted rivers and technical spring creeks. The dry fly opportunities in the Boulder Valley and its surrounding waters are some of the best in Montana. After a great day of fishing, anglers return to the rustic and comfortable cabins and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the camp cook. If you haven't had enough fishing, you can always grab a rod for a few more casts on the East Boulder River or enjoy the sweeping views of the ranch country where Robert Redford's "The Horse Whisperer" was filmed. The Outpost is the perfect location for small groups who want a lot of fishing variety with a unique lodging experience.

The accommodations consist of two cabins and a games room. The smaller bunkhouse cabin has three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a larger kitchen, mudroom and wader room. Each cabin has a wood stove for heat and ambiance. The Outpost can accommodate groups of four to ten anglers and On The Water Fly Fishing has reserved the entire Outpost for the weekend. Your guides and camp cook stay with your group at the Outpost to prepare all the meals, tell stories and engage guests in some good hearted lawn games after a day On The Water.

Your trip package includes 3 nights' accommodation, 2 days guided fishing, all meals and complimentary wine and beer at the lodge.

Not included are your transportation to and from the lodge, meals on-route to the lodge, gratuities and incidentals.

Hosted Trip Rate: The cost for the above package is $1850 USD per person based on shared accommodation and sharing a guide/boat.
